The Académie Musicale de Liesse attaches great importance to the protection of personal data, in particular that of the children entrusted to it. This policy describes, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Informatique et Libertés), how data is processed through this website and in the school’s communications.

Data processed and purposes
- Contact requests and applications — name, details, information given in the forms (hosted by Google Forms) or by e-mail. Purpose: processing of applications and reply to requests. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest.
- Photographs and videos of students — images captured in the life of the school, at concerts and on tours, published on the Academy’s website and networks. Purpose: communication of the school. Legal basis: written consent of the legal representatives (image-rights authorisation), revocable at any time. Students are not named individually on the website.
- Former students’ paths — first name and last-name initial, optional photograph, year group and first course taken after the baccalaureate (type, field of study, institution and its city), and whether they keep making music alongside, shown in the “What became of our former students?” section. This information comes from the directory of the Association des Anciens de Liesse; only former students who agreed appear, and the field of study may reveal a religious vocation. No individual page and no full name is published. Legal basis: each former student’s consent, which can be withdrawn at any time from their directory profile or on request.
- Donations — processed by the Fondation des Académies Musicales and by HelloAsso on their own platforms; the Academy collects no banking data.
- Team details and designated contacts — published with the agreement of those concerned.
YouTube videos are embedded via “youtube-nocookie.com”, which sets no cookie until playback starts.
Recipients and processors
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — website hosting.
- Google — application and contact forms (Google Forms), fonts, YouTube videos, audience measurement (Google Analytics, only with your consent).
- HelloAsso (France) and Fondation des Académies Musicales — collection of donations.
- Supabase — database for the former-students section (data limited to consented public profiles).
Some of these providers are located outside the European Union; transfers are governed by the mechanisms provided for in the GDPR (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions).
Retention periods
- Applications not retained: 2 years after the end of the procedure.
- Contact requests: 3 years after the last exchange.
- Photographs and videos: for the period of validity of the image-rights authorisation signed by the legal guardians (10 years), and until consent is withdrawn.
- Former-student profiles: until a request for withdrawal by the person concerned.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months (retention setting configured in Google Analytics).
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability concerning the data relating to you, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time (in particular for image rights and former-student profiles).
To exercise these rights, write to contact@academiemusicaledeliesse.fr or by post to the association’s registered office. A reply will be given to you within one month.
If you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may refer the matter to the CNIL: cnil.fr.
Minors
The Academy welcomes children and teenagers. No student data is published without the written permission of their legal guardians, and any request to remove an image is handled as a priority. The Safeguarding page also sets out the school's educational commitments.
