You can discover the Academy in several ways:

Les candidatures pour la rentrée de September 2026 sont ouvertes,
du CM1 à la Première.
Your son does not need to read music or play an instrument. He does need to enjoy singing, and to sing reasonably in tune.
We recruit mainly in CM1 and CM2 as well as in the lycée; fewer places are available in the collège years.
Discovery weeks (CE2-CM1)
Les garçons actuellement en CE2 ou CM1 peuvent participer à une « semaine découverte » sans engagement, sans dossier ni audition. Il suffit de remplir un court formulaire. Ils peuvent aussi suivre le parcours standard (dossier → audition → semaine découverte).
Admission requirements
Selection rests on four criteria: motivation, behaviour, academic standard and reports, and musical standard and reports. To these are added objective but unquantifiable criteria, such as the timbre of the voice or the boy’s temperament. Each application is assessed by a multidisciplinary team (human, academic and artistic formation).
Where an application is unsuccessful, the panel's decision is final and no reasons are given; parents accept this in submitting the application.

- Mr and Mrs Lecourtois — parents of three students (6e, 3e and 2nde), who entered in CM1 and in 6e.
- Mr and Mrs Barré — parents of a student in 2nde and of a former student, who entered in CM2.
- Mr and Mrs Revol — parents of a former student, educated at the Academy from CM1 to Terminale.

📝Complete and send the application form and the financial form
The two documents are to be downloaded, then sent together by post to the Academy — 12 rue du Chanoine Calendini, 72300 Précigné (or if necessary by email).
Please send your application and wait for our reply before arranging an audition date: we will get back to you directly by email.
🎤Come for an audition
Before we can welcome your son for a discovery week, we must make sure that he sings sufficiently in tune, that he has a good ear and that he is motivated to come to the Academy.
At this audition, we simply need to speak with him and to hear him sing one or more excerpts of pieces of his choice. He may also present an instrumental piece if he plays an instrument.
Auditions take place during the “Open days” as well as on other dates in the course of the year. An application file must have been sent before requesting an appointment — except for students currently in CE2-CM1.
🏫Passer une « semaine découverte » à l'Académie
If your son’s application and audition are accepted, he is invited to spend a full week at the Academy.
This confirms the boy’s motivation, whether he is ready for boarding life, and his love of music. It also lets him experience day-to-day life at the school, make friends and feel at ease.
NB: we welcome candidates almost every week between January and June. Once the audition is confirmed, we offer several dates for you to choose from.

It is after this discovery week that we give our final decision on your son's application.
