The Fondation des Académies Musicales is a foundation hosted by the Fondation pour l’école, recognised as a public-interest foundation by decree of 18 March 2008.
The Fondation des Académies Musicales came into being in 2016. The purpose of this young foundation is to promote the creation and development of Académies Musicales in France.
Its aim: to develop a network of Académies Musicales throughout France, offering an all-round education to as many children as possible, whatever their means, through the remarkable instrument of music.
To this end, it seeks to encourage the sharing of educational, human and financial resources.
The Académie Musicale de Liesse is the first school supported by the Fondation des Académies Musicales, and so serves as the pilot school, helping the next Académies that will soon open.
