How we track progress
Parents' meetings
As in any school, parents are invited to meet the teachers and the educators who follow their boy day by day.
The Académie Musicale offers:
- A presentation meeting of the teaching team for each class at the start of the school year, by videoconference.
- A day of individual meetings at the end of the first term.
Families are also encouraged to get in touch with any member of the educational team whenever they need to.
Likewise, the adults of the Académie Musicale do not hesitate to take stock regularly with the parents in order to speak of their child’s progress.
Assessments
Written work is usually required. Written and oral tests are regularly set by the teachers.
- Supervised Tests (DS) are weekly from 6e onwards. The calendar of tests is sent at the beginning of the school year.
- Formal examinations take place twice in the school year: every subject is then assessed in the same week.
- Mock Brevet and mock Baccalauréat examinations also take place twice a year, to prepare the students for examination conditions.
The blue folder
The blue folder is a display book in which the student of the Académie Musicale de Liesse keeps all the documents concerning his academic, musical and human progress.
There one finds the reports of his schooling, the review sheets of the class councils, and every document that helps the student to reach his objectives.
From 3e onwards, students also keep there their work related to guidance for the future.
Reports
The Académie Musicale de Liesse draws up and sends to parents (in digital form via École Directe) and to students (on paper) a report that summarises the work done in the three areas of life of our school.
This report delivers the conclusions of the class council — awards given, recommendation for promotion, and a summary of the exchanges — so that parents can follow as closely as possible their child’s schooling.
Each student receives a copy of it, so as to keep in mind the strengths and the weaknesses to work on from term to term.
