Lycée (ages 15–18)
The lycée years are a time for owning one’s choices.
It is the time to build and refine one’s thinking,
to reflect and to analyse.
It is the time to develop a critical mind, form one’s convictions,
and cultivate every talent and every kind of intelligence.
Beyond passing the baccalauréat and receiving a solid academic education, each student is encouraged to work independently, to be intellectually curious and to shape his own plans.
He is guided towards excellence, greater self-knowledge and a mature use of his freedom, so that he becomes an upright man ready to take his place in the adult world, and well prepared for higher education, whatever path he chooses.
That is why, building on what we do in the Academy’s primary and collège years, we offer:
- Philosophy from the Première class
- Continued work on self-knowledge and careers guidance
- Further public speaking, through the rhetoric and eloquence competitions, presentations…
