A centuries-old tradition of service to the liturgy
Founded barely 400 metres from the Marian shrine of Notre-Dame de Liesse, and now at Précigné (Sarthe), the Académie Musicale is dedicated, like every choir school, to the service of the liturgy — above all through the daily singing of Vespers, every evening at 6.30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday in term time.
Our hope is that, through the renewal of the beauty of our liturgies, many new pilgrims will come to Liesse Notre Dame to honour the Black Virgin, “Cause of Our Joy”!
