Academic and career guidance
From 3e to Terminale, the Academy works with each student in the building of his personal project: self-knowledge, discovery of professions, choice of specialisms, Parcoursup applications.
Knowing oneself in order to choose one's path
From 3e onwards, a course of self-knowledge is offered to the students. Knowing one’s temperament makes it possible to understand oneself, to know one’s personal challenges and to grow in virtue.
A characterology test, then Hexa3D professional-profile tests, are arranged for our students.
Discovering careers
Three complementary schemes to confront students with professional reality.
Master Class
Many adults come to present their professions and their vocations — farmer, mayor, educator, firefighter, journalist, priest, entrepreneur, researcher, engineer — to familiarise the students with the world of work.
Orientibus
A guidance tool designed by the Pays de la Loire Region, equipped with digital tablets and virtual-reality headsets to discover professional environments in a playful and attractive way.
Careers fair
Organised by the Director of Studies together with former students and parents, it allows students in 3e and in the lycée to meet professionals from every field in an informal way.
Work experience
Students are encouraged to undertake placements throughout their schooling. The Académie supports them in putting the placement agreement in place and in preparing for professional experience.
A first encounter with the world of work, which sheds light on choices of path and nourishes reflection on the personal project.
Post-baccalaureate guidance
A progressive and structured work of guidance, from collège to Terminale.
- In 3e — discovering the paths of former students, discovering professions, first reflections on the future.
- In Seconde — the choice of specialisms is taken up from the beginning of the year: presentation of each specialism to students and to parents, and presentation of the tracks offered at the Academy.
- In Première and in Terminale — putting in place a personalised plan of work on guidance, in connection with the parents. Tools given: writing his first CV, applying for a placement, presenting himself at interview, etc.
Parcoursup
Daily support throughout the year in order to understand well the working of the platform of access to higher education, the tracks, the outlets of the courses of study and the bridges between them.
Each year we draw on the work of previous year-groups: the letters of motivation and the applications are kept, passed on, and serve as a basis for the students who follow.
A collective memory that is enriched year after year, at the service of each new project.
